What drives the cost of content
Content costs are driven by four things, and it helps to know them before you choose a plan:
- Review time. Every technical article and video needs a short check by your team. The faster you review, the more we can publish.
- Footage supply. Video depends on your crew capturing shots on the job. A company that sends footage weekly gets far more out of the Elite plan than one that sends it quarterly.
- Competition. In crowded markets, each article must be deeper to win. In quieter regions, fewer and shorter pages can do the job.
- Languages and regions. French-language content for Quebec, or separate content for several provinces, adds research and review.
How to choose
A simple test using your own numbers:
- Work out your average gross margin per installed job. Say it is $4,000.
- Divide the monthly plan price by that margin. For Growth, $4,498 ÷ $4,000 is about 1.1 jobs.
- Ask whether the content in that plan can plausibly add one or two installed jobs a month once it matures.
If the answer is clearly yes, the plan is worth testing. If it is a stretch, start smaller. As a rough guide:
- Starter if your site is thin and you need solid service pages and photos first.
- Growth if you want a steady article engine and already run, or want to run, ads.
- Elite if your sales are high-ticket and you want video explaining them.
None of this is a promise of results. Content usually takes months to mature; Roma Heating & Cooling's 400% organic traffic growth came over 12 months.
What every plan includes
- Ownership. You own the website, the content and the accounts.
- No lock-in. Stop when it no longer makes sense.
- Senior attention. You talk to a senior strategist, not a call centre.
- Plain reporting. What we made, where it went and what it produced.
Questions about money are the most common ones we get, so the FAQ covers contracts, ownership and timelines. Call, text or email to talk through your numbers, or see results first.
Frequently asked questions
Which plan includes video?
Video marketing is part of the Elite plan. Starter and Growth cover website, SEO and content work, and photos are part of the website and profile work on every plan.
Do you charge per article or per video?
No. Our work runs through monthly plans, so you aren't counting invoices for each piece. Output depends on the plan and on how quickly your team can review and supply footage.
Is there a contract?
There is no lock-in. You can stop when the work stops making sense for you, and the content and accounts stay yours.
Are taxes included?
No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and Canadian clients add GST/HST by province (GST plus QST in Quebec).
